Vice President Mike Pence Thanks Walmart Workers Amid COVID Pandemic

Along with Walmart CEO Doug McMillion, StrongArm’s FUSE Sensor also makes an appearance.

On April 1, as a public show of force in the White House’s ongoing battle against the Coronavirus, Vice President Mike Pence took a visit to a major Walmart Distribution Center in Gordonsville, VA.

Pence was joined by Walmart CEO Doug McMillon and a handful of Walmart employees, including some frontline workers who talked about the exponentially increased demand for getting critical goods out the door and onto the doorsteps of millions of Americans in need.

It was a brief but powerful peek inside one of the country’s most bustling grocery distribution centers, which houses more than 1,000 employees supporting nearly 200 stores nationwide, 150 of which are supercenters, according to CBS.

It was also a particularly poignant moment for everyone here at StrongArm Tech, as one of the workers was diligently wearing a FUSE Sensor during the surprise visit (highlighted above), emblematic of a long and symbiotic relation between our two brands.

“It’s our health care workers and people keeping supply chain rolling that make it possible to not just meet this moment but overcome it,” said Pence during an address in which he thanked all the warehouse workers.

We here at StrongArm couldn’t agree more.

Have a comment or question for the team? We’d love to hear from you.
