TORONTO, Ontario - April 12, 2017 – StrongArm and Intelex joined forces to co-release a white paper to explore the potential impacts of Big Data and wearable sensor technology in workplace risks management at this year’s EHSQ Leadership Summit.

“We are proud to call Intelex a partner. Their decades of industry knowledge and experience in risk assessment and compliance,” said Michael Kim, StrongArm’s co-founder and CTO. “...together with StrongArm’s IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) tech, will be an unstoppable force in the safety industry.”

The partnership signifies a revolution in workplace safety by bridging traditional EH&S data and methodologies with the new industrial biotelemetric technologies, where predicting on-the-job injuries, and particularly, lower back injuries – the most challenging of them all– before they happen is no longer science fiction:

Wearables track the equivalent near misses by providing ongoing load and posture feedback in real time. Likewise, MSDs (Musculoskeletal Disorders) are precursors/ indicators of operational injuries are prevented proactively by reducing and tracking exposure to ergonomic hazards.
